This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and your choices and rights. By using TT Stars you agree to the practices described below.

1. Quick summary

  • We collect information you give us (name, email, photos, payment details), data about how you use the app (matches, scores, video streams, analytics), device/technical data, and — when you allow it — precise location for tournament venue features.
  • We use the data to run the app — register players, manage academies and tournaments, stream video, analyze play, process payments, set venue locations on a map, and (when enabled) verify venue check-in.
  • We may share data with service providers (payment processors, streaming hosts, map/places providers such as Google, analytics), and with your consent for social features.
  • You can access, correct, delete your data, and opt out of marketing communications.
  • We take reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • If you’re under 16 (or the local age of consent), please get a parent/guardian’s consent before sharing personal data.

2. Who we are

TT Stars is an application/service that helps players, coaches, academies, and tournament organizers manage training, matches, leagues, live streams, and player analytics. If you need to contact us about privacy, email: support@ttstars.com

3. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use TT Stars:

A. Personal information you provide
  • Full name, username, email address, phone number
  • Profile photo and bio
  • Date of birth
  • Address or academy location (for registration or invoicing)
  • Documents you upload (ID, Coaching Certificates)
B. Content and activity
  • Match scores, rankings, match history, league and tournament entries
  • Practice session logs, coaching notes, training schedules
  • Uploaded photos
C. Location information (when you allow it)
  • Precise location (GPS / device location), while the app is in use only — we do not request continuous background location tracking.
  • Used when an organizer sets a tournament venue pin on the map (including “use my location” and address search), and when a player self check-ins / reports at the venue so we can confirm they are within the tournament’s allowed check-in radius.
  • Tournament venue coordinates (latitude/longitude) and related address text selected for a tournament may be stored with that tournament.
  • For venue self check-in, we may store the reported coordinates and approximate distance from the venue pin as part of the check-in record (for verification and audit).
  • Location access is optional. If you deny permission, you can still use most of the app; some venue features may be limited (for example, self check-in that requires being at the venue). You can change permission anytime in your device settings.
D. Technical and usage data
  • Device identifiers, IP address, device model, OS version
  • App usage logs, performance data, crash reports
  • Analytics data (pages/screens you view, features used, time spent)
E. Cookies & similar technologies
  • Cookies, local storage, and identifiers for analytics, functional settings, and advertising if applicable.

4. How we use your information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (account creation, match scheduling, results)
  • Enable features (analytics, leaderboards)
  • Provide map-based tournament venue selection and venue check-in / presence verification (only when you use those features and grant location permission where required)
  • Communicate with you (notifications, confirmations, support)
  • Improve and personalize the Service (product development and analytics)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for research and product improvements.

5. Legal bases for processing (where applicable: GDPR)

Where applicable, we rely on:

  • Contract performance (to provide the Service you requested)
  • Legitimate interests (fraud prevention, app improvement)
  • Legal obligations (compliance with laws or court orders)

6. Sharing and disclosures

We may share your information with:

  • Academies and organizers: if you sign up for an academy or tournament, basic registration details (name, contact, category) will be shared with the relevant academy/organizer. Organizers may also see venue check-in status and related verification details for participants in their tournaments.
  • Other users: information you choose to share publicly (profile, match results, leaderboard position). Tournament venue location (city/address and map pin chosen by the organizer) may be shown as part of public tournament information.
  • Service providers — maps and places: when you use map search, map display, or location-assisted venue features, map queries and related technical data may be processed by Google Maps Platform / Google Places (or similar providers) under their terms and privacy policies, solely to provide those features.
  • Law & safety: to comply with legal processes or to protect rights, property or safety.
  • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — with notice and contractual protections.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. If your local law defines "sale" differently, we will honor your rights under applicable law.

7. Location permissions and your choices

On mobile devices, TT Stars may request location access while using the app (for example, “When In Use” on iOS / foreground location on Android). We use this for:

  • Helping organizers place or confirm a tournament venue on a map
  • Helping players search for a venue address
  • Verifying that a player is near the tournament venue when they self report / check in (within a distance configured for that tournament)

We do not use your location for advertising, and we do not track your location in the background for these features. Staff/organizer actions that report another player’s venue status do not require the staff member’s GPS for that player.

You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings. Denying permission does not prevent general use of TT Stars, but venue self check-in and automatic “use my location” on the map may not work until permission is granted.

8. Data retention

We retain your personal information as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Specific retention periods (examples):

  • Account data: until account deletion
  • Transaction records: 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Tournament venue coordinates and venue check-in records (including reported location samples used for verification): retained while the tournament record is kept for the Service, then deleted or anonymized with related tournament data, unless a longer period is required by law.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Delete your personal data (account deletion).
  • Export your data (data portability).
  • Restrict or object to processing (where applicable).
  • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising (where applicable).

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal data (encryption in transit, access controls, regular security assessments). However, no system is completely secure. If a data breach affects your personal data, we will follow applicable breach notification laws.

11. Children's privacy

TT Stars is not intended for children below the age of consent in your jurisdiction (commonly 13–16). If you are under that age, please get a parent or guardian's permission before using the Service. If we learn we collected personal data from a child without required consent, we will promptly delete it.

12. International transfers

TT Stars may store and process data in countries outside your home jurisdiction. When we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (contracts, approved frameworks) to protect your data in accordance with applicable law.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We'll post the updated policy in the App with a new effective date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification.
